Thursday

Shalom!
Well, it looks like this post is going to need to be my final, short post because we are leaving tomorrow to come home. I cannot wait to see all you soon, but my heart is torn to think about leaving God's beautiful land! Exploring this Kingdom has truly been an incredible gift and life-changing experience.

Today was probably the most sober and sorrowful day I have experienced yet. And still, there was an underlying beauty and hope threading its way through all of our journey. Today began by seeing the desocrated Temple Mount. I couldn't believe I was truly walking among the place of Jewish worship from thousands of years ago. Next, we toured through the Hollicaust Museum. I don't think there was one dry eye as we left that place. Although I know it was very important to see, the heartache and destructiveness of the human nature we must never too easily forget and we must pray for the Jewish nation! God bless all those who the world was not worthy of, who ended their lives in torture only their torturers deserve. May God grant us the courage to do whatever we can to ensure such a horrendous event never takes place again. We ended the day in a sort of culmination viewing a huge model of Jerusalem, and then the Dead Sea Scrolls. I am so thankful for God's merciful preservation of His word.

Tomorrow we will tie up all loose ends, say our farewells to this beautiful nation, and begin the long journey homeward. You have no idea how much I look forward to seeing all of you! I pray blessings on you and bon jour!

Hannah
